Service fees
MY APPROACH
I believe great travel planning shouldn’t come with a big price tag. Most of my trips are planned at no fee because I’m compensated by the travel suppliers I book with. That lets me keep costs low for you.
When a planning deposit may apply
Some trips take far more time than others. A deposit may apply when a trip involves:
Extensive itinerary design or custom planning
A lot of back-and-forth, research, or revisions
Complex multi-destination or multi-day logistics
Suppliers or operators that don’t pay commission to travel advisors
FEES AT A GLANCE
No fee
Planning deposit starting at $200
$30 per flight booking
10% of total booking cost (minimum $30)
$50 per day
$30 per change; *additional supplier fees may apply
$60 per booking
Standard trips (commissionable bookings)
Complex or time-intensive trips
Flight-only bookings
Other non-commissionable bookings
Support while you travel
Changes after booking
Rush bookings (departing within 20 days)
Support while you travel
As an extra service, if you’d like me available during your trip to look up restaurants and activities, help with booking issues, or make changes, I charge for the additional time and availability.
Credit to your trip
Fees are non-refundable. If your booking earns a commission of at least 10% of the total booking cost and is more than your deposit, the excess will be credited toward your trip payment. If you decide not to book or choose to book elsewhere, the deposit covers the planning time already spent.
Supplier fees*
Airline, cruise line, hotel, and other supplier change or cancellation fees are separate from my service fees and set by the supplier.
No surprises
Any fee is added to your proposed trip package, so you’ll see it before you approve anything. I’ll always talk with you about fees before extra work begins.
